The Lo Shu Grid has 9 squares with three horizontal columns and three vertical rows. Numbers from 1 to 9 are arranged in these rows and columns. The numbers in each row, each column, and the diagonals add up to 15. Chinese believe that Number 15 has magical properties.
The Lo Shu Grid dates back to 4000 years. The Chinese Emperor, Wu-of-Hsia found this square embossed on the back of a turtle. He was trying to find out the root cause of frequent floods which were happening regularly and causing vast destruction in China. The square had 3 columns and 3 rows. He named it Lo Shu Grid.
Horizontal Planes: There are three horizontal planes: the Mind Plane, the Soul Plane, and the Practical Plane.
The Mind Plane
The horizontal line with numbers 4, 9, and 2 is called the Intellectual or Mental Plane. It indicates the brain power or intelligence of a person. It also represents his ability to be rational and to evaluate things.
If the Lo Shu Grid of a person has all three numbers, the individual will naturally be balanced and have a practical approach to life. If any one of these numbers is absent, the individual is likely to go by his instincts and will be short of memory.
Emotional Plane
The Emotional plane in the Lo Shu Grid consists of the numbers 3, 5, and 7. It is also known as the Spiritual plane. The plane is indicative of the emotions and instincts of the individual. If the number 5 repeats itself has an undesirable effect on the person.
If Number 7 repeats itself, it is positive and indicates spiritual inclinations. The numbers of the spiritual plane should be balanced by the numbers in the intellectual plane. Otherwise, it indicates that the thoughts of the person are devoid of emotions.
Practical Plane
The practical Plane consists of the numbers 8, 1, and 6. They indicate the affluence or wealth of a person. They also suggest achievement, prosperity, and wealth of the person. They are likely to be selfish and have great pride. If the material plane is full and the spiritual plane has no numbers, the person will be rich but without emotions.
The Vertical Planes
The Thought Plane
The Thought Plane consists of the numbers 4, 3, and 8. The plane indicates the thinking faculty and his capacity to execute his ideas.
Will Plane
